デカルトの問い：AIは「疑う」ことができるかDescartes' Question: Can AI Doubt?

近代哲学の父デカルトは、あらゆる存在を疑い抜いた末に、唯一疑い得ない真理として「疑っている自分自身の存在（コギト・エルゴ・スム）」に辿り着きました。Descartes, the father of modern philosophy, doubted all existence until he arrived at the one truth he could not doubt: the existence of the self that doubts—cogito, ergo sum.

現代において、私たちは新たな問いに直面しています。「AI（人工知能）は、自分自身を疑うことができるのか？」Today, we face a new question: “Can an AI doubt itself?”

AIが得意とするのは、膨大な過去データに基づく「最適解の算出」です。そこには迷いも、沈黙も、後悔もありません。しかし、人間の人格の本質は「正解」の中にはありません。むしろ、AとBの間で引き裂かれ、論理を超えて悩み、最後に「これしかない」と血の通った決断を下す、その判断の揺らぎ（Fluctuation）の中にこそ、その人固有の「私」が宿るのです。What AI excels at is computing the “optimal answer” from vast past data. There is no hesitation, no silence, no regret. But the essence of human personality is not found in the “right answer.” Rather, it dwells in the fluctuation of judgment—torn between A and B, agonizing beyond logic, and finally making a blood-warm decision that “this is the only way.” There lies the “I” unique to each person.

アルキメデスの発見：魂の「体積」を測るThe Discovery of Archimedes: Measuring the “Volume” of the Soul

紀元前、アルキメデスは浴槽から溢れる水を見て、物体の体積を測る方法を発見しました。王冠が本物の金か否か、その「本質」を暴いたのは、重さではなく、王冠が押し退けた「水の量」でした。In antiquity, Archimedes saw water overflow from his bath and discovered how to measure the volume of an object. What revealed whether the crown was truly gold—its “essence”—was not its weight, but the “volume of water” it displaced.

The “difference between humans and AI” (Archimedes Delta) is nothing other than the volume of “irrational choices” that overflows when a person's personality is submerged in the tank of logic.

AIがどれほど精巧に言葉を模倣しても、情報の海に沈めたとき、計算式では説明できない「独自の浮力」が生まれる。その浮力こそが、私たちが継承すべき「人格（Personality）」の正体です。No matter how precisely an AI imitates words, when it is submerged in the sea of information a “unique buoyancy” arises that no formula can explain. That buoyancy is the true nature of the “personality” we must inherit.
